For as long as I could remember I have always admired India, its culture, its traditions, its food, and its people. I grew up watching a whole BUNCH of Bollywood movies (Nagina is hands down my favourite Bollywood movie of all time! Sridevi is Bollywood royalty and Rishi Kapoor is a stupendous actor; what more could you ask for?). Thanks to such movies, I was able to retain a few Hindi phrases that I still randomly say to my Indian friends for fun (including: Choddo muhje! Muhje bachao! & muhje maaf karado [yup these phrases appeared alot in old-school Bollywood movies, aaaahhh nostalgia]). But I digress.

Due to my fondness of anything India-related, I decided to post a picture blog of some captivatingly divine images showcasing work by an Indian fashion designer that slays with every piece: Sabyasachi Mukherjee

Mukherjee designs mainly Indian bridal wear but by taking a gander at his work, it is clear that he does broaden his scope to include pieces that are both classic and modern and cater to both men and women. Some of his famous clients include Bollywood megastars Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Sridevi.

Every photoshoot picture that he puts out never fails to make me drool with amazement. The vibrant colours, the atmospheric setting, the makeup, the positioning of the clothing and models, just everything is so YAAAAASSS-worthy. I have yet to come across a piece that I do not want to have in my closet. It is evident that his eye for fashion is incomparable and very unique. The combination of Mr. Mukherjee’s exquisite designs and the photographer’s mind-boggling attention to detail makes the photos below aesthetically orgasmic. Take in the beauty my friends!

Most of these photographs have been taken by the uber-gifted, Tarun Khiwal. I do not own the rights to any of the photographs below.
